4 EASY Steps
Start your classroom books by requesting a FREE Student Publishing Kit!
- Choose a Topic – Choose from hundreds of curriculum ideas or create your own to get your students excited about writing. Themed Templates give you a jump-start on your classroom book.
- Involve Parents – Send home informational letters and forms that are provided in the kit. Use our online tools to announce your project to parents and provide them with easy online ordering. Books cost only $25, but purchase is not required.
- Write and Illustrate – Students practice their stories and artwork, then furnish final writings on the Publishing Kit paper we provide. Each student receives their own sheets. You can also download free template sheets to practice or use to submit your pages.
- Submit Your Order – On your Kit Return Date, upload and submit everything online or send us your completed Classroom Book Order Form (PDF), all book material, parent order forms, and payments using our prepaid UPS shipping label.

Best Template for Your Classroom Book
We review our page templates for classroom books and make recommendations based on grade level and number of participating students.

Choose From 14 Page Templates
For books involving 10 to 33 students, each student is limited to 2 pages (work appears side by side), and any template may be used. For books involving 34 to 66 students, each student is limited to 1 page (use template L1, P1, or P4). Books cannot exceed the page limit. You may request any Standard Templates be shipped with your kit, or download any Standard or Themed Templates to get started immediately.
8 Standard Templates
Students may create artwork, write, or print their typed writings on these blank pages. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student) or up to 66 students (1 page per student).
L2 and P2 provide solid lines to help guide students as they write. Formats are suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student). Each student receives 1 page for artwork and 1 page for writing.
L3 and P3 provide primary-lined pages to help guide younger students as they write. Formats are suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student). Each student receives 1 page for artwork and 1 page for writing.
P4 is designed for students to illustrate on the top half and write on the bottom half. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student) or up to 66 students (1 page per student).
P5 gives students more writing space with room for an illustration on the top half of the left page. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
6 Themed Templates
T1 is designed for students to discover what makes them special and unique. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
T2 is designed for students to learn about an assigned animal, exploring its biology, habitat, and behavior. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
T3 is designed for students to learn visual and sequential storytelling with preformatted comic-book-style cells. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
T4 encourages students to reflect upon, recognize, and practice kindness. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
T5 prompts students to write and illustrate about who they would like to become. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
T6 prompts students' writing and drawing ideas while imagining their future world. Format is suited for 10 to 33 students (2 pages per student).
